Monitoring ground-dwelling birds on French Island
French Island is the largest coastal island of Victoria, Australia. It is located in Western Port, 61 km southeast of Melbourne. In 1997, about 70% of the island was declared the French Island National Park, administered by Parks Victoria, and was listed in the former Register of the National Estate in 1984. Much of the island consists of wetlands and the entire north coast is a RAMSAR listed site. Total area of the island: 170 km² Licensed with Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
